Refund Policy
Effective May 7, 2026
1. Free trial
Every plan starts with a 30-day free trial. No payment is required during the trial period — if you don't add a payment method, the account simply moves to read-only mode at the end of the trial.
2. Monthly plans
You can cancel a monthly subscription at any time. The current month is not refunded, but you won't be charged for the next month. Your account stays active until the end of the paid month.
3. Annual plans — pro-rata refund
If you cancel an annual plan within the first 30 days, you get a full refund. After 30 days, we issue a pro-rata refund for the unused months minus a ₹500 / $10 administrative fee.
4. Plan downgrades
Downgrading mid-cycle: the difference in plan cost is credited to your account and applied against the next renewal. No cash refund for plan downgrades.
5. Service outages
If we miss our 99.9% uptime SLA in a given month, we credit your account 10% of that month's subscription fee per full hour of unscheduled downtime, up to 100% of the monthly fee.
6. How to request a refund
Email hello@schoolservice.in with subject "Refund Request" from your registered email address. Include the school name and the reason. We'll respond within 3 business days and process eligible refunds within 14 business days back to your original payment method.
7. Non-refundable items
- One-time setup fees (if any) are non-refundable once setup is complete.
- Add-on services billed separately follow their own refund terms.
